Nantucket Dreamland Theatre
The Dreamland Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to restoring the Dreamland Theater to a place where island residents and visitors can celebrate the visual and performing arts.
After the initial renovation, our primary goal will be to use the space as a year round movie theater and community performing arts center for cultural, recreational and educational programs.
The building’s mission as a place for communal gatherings and public assembly, along with its location in the heart of downtown Nantucket , make it a natural destination for those who enjoy the unique character of the island. Special consideration will be given to the Dreamland’s historic past while striving to meet the latest sustainable “green” building goals.
Many people recall fond memories of times shared with loved ones at the Dreamland and eagerly anticipate the time when we will once again be able to say : Meet me at the Dreamland!”
